SAVE THE DATE: Webinar - Collaboration with farmers, November 14th
Op 14 november organiseert LIFE IP All4Biodiversity het webinar 'Collaboration with farmers - uniting viable farming practices with nature conservation'. Deze sessie is bedoeld voor Europese LIFE IP-partners en andere geïnteresseerde belanghebbenden, met een sterke focus op 'van elkaar leren'.

Waar gaat het over?
LIFE IP All4Biodiversity streeft ernaar om externe druk op Natura 2000-gebieden te verminderen door de basiskwaliteit van de natuur in de omliggende overgangszones en het landschap daarbuiten te verbeteren. In diverse pilots door heel Nederland worden veelbelovende maatregelen en best practices geïdentificeerd, instrumenten zoals quickscans ontwikkeld, en kennis verzameld in de Toolbox voor Biodiversiteit. Samenwerking met boeren speelt hierin een cruciale rol. Daarnaast zetten ook andere LIFE-programma's zich in om de kloof tussen landbouw en natuur te overbruggen.
Tijdens dit webinar delen verschillende LIFE IP-programma's hun bevindingen over het verbeteren van de natuurkwaliteit in en rondom Natura 2000-gebieden en daarbuiten, terwijl ze tegelijkertijd een gezond en uitvoerbaar bedrijfsmodel voor boeren bieden.
- LIFE IP Natureman (Denemarken): De boer als beheerder van de natuur
- LIFE IP GrassBirdHabitats (Duitsland & Nederland): Het opbouwen van betalingsblokken voor weidevogelboeren
- FARM LIFE (Nederland & België): Aanpasbare bedrijfsplannen voor winstgevende agroforestry door middel van door boeren gedreven co-creatie
- LIFE IP All4Biodiversity (Nederland): Ontwikkelen en samenstellen van best practices, instrumenten en kennis in een online toolbox voor biodiversiteit
Als partner van LIFE IP All4Biodiversity zal BoerenNatuur (“FarmersNature”) ook hun aanpak delen over hoe zij de samenwerking tussen boeren verbeteren om biodiversiteit en milieubeheer in agrarische landschappen te bevorderen, samen met Nederlandse agrarische collectieven.

Het webinar vindt online plaats op 14 november van 13.30 tot 16.30 uur (CEST) via MS Teams. Na registratie ontvang je enkele weken van tevoren een Teams-link om deel te nemen aan het webinar.

On November 14th, LIFE IP All4Biodiversity is organising the webinar 'Collaboration with farmers - uniting viable farming practices with nature conservation'. This session is intended for European LIFE IP partners and other interested stakeholders, with a strong focus on 'learning from each other'.
Note: The language of the webinar will be English.
What is it about?
LIFE IP All4Biodiversity aims to reduce external pressures on Natura 2000 areas by enhancing the basic quality of nature in the surrounding transition zones and the landscape beyond. In various pilots across the Netherlands, promising measures and best practices are being identified, instruments such as quickscans are developed, and knowledge is gathered in the Toolbox for Biodiversity. Collaboration with farmers plays a crucial role in this. Additionally, other LIFE programs are also working to bridge the gap between agriculture and nature.
In this webinar, several LIFE IP programmes will share their findings in their search to improve nature quality in and around Natura 2000 areas and beyond, whilst providing a viable and practical business model for farmers.

As a partner of LIFE IP All4Biodiversity, BoerenNatuur (“FarmersNature”) will also share their approach on how they enhance cooperation among farmers to improve biodiversity and environmental management in agricultural landscapes, together with Dutch agricultural collectives.
